Education & History

Old South Meeting House – Our ancestral home.

Massachusetts Bible Society – A resource for biblical literacy and scholarship.

Andover-Newton Theological School – The nation’s oldest graduate school of theology and a historic UCC partner. Offers a Lifelong Learning Program of workshops, lectures, and online seminars.

American Congregational Association & Library  – Preserving the history and religious literature of American congregationalism, the religious tradition out of which Old South sprung, and which contributed greatly to the formation of the United Church of Christ.

Service & Outreach

City Mission Society – Co-founded in 1816 by Old South and Park Street Church, City Mission Society works to promote a just society for all people by uniting communities and transforming individuals through service, education, and advocacy.

Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO) – A historic Old South partner, GBIO is a broad-based organization that works to coalesce, train, and organize the communities of Greater Boston across religious, racial, ethnic, class and neighborhood lines for the public good.

Ecclesia Ministries – Offers social services to homeless persons in concert with spiritual companionship and community. Facilitates Common Cathedral, a weekly outdoor worship service on Boston Common geared toward those without homes.

The Women’s Lunch Place – Provides a safe and comfortable daytime refuge, nutritious food, and basic resources for women who are poor and homeless. The produce from our urban vegetable garden is donated to this organization.
