Old South offered a very special All-Church Journey during Lent: THE CHURCH IN THE WORLD (Sundays, March 5 – April 2). Together we looked at how Christians responded to God’s call across two millennia. Often against the odds, in circumstances that were challenging and dangerous, the Christian Church responded to God with creativity and courage, embodying an ethic of love that touched, shaped and changed the world.Our guides on this journey were outstanding Christian scholars from two institutions related to Old South: Andover Newton Theological School (the oldest independent theological school in the US) and the American Congregational Association.
