Echoing Album CoverWillie Sordillo: echoing - Willie Sordillo serves as Music Coordinator for Old South's Jazz Worship service. echoing is a collection of straight-ahead jazz tunes in the Miles Davis/Cannonball Adderley tradition. Comprised of six original compositions and five songs by other writers, a broad range of emotions and styles are explored, from the full-out swing of Beautiful Love to the anguish and passion of Strayhorn's Blood Count, the spiritual soul of Amazing Grace, the funky beat of Hotcakes and the changing moods of Snow Tracks. Harry Lyn Huff: Wild Sunrises - The 115-rank organ built in 1921 by E. M. Skinner for the municipal auditorium in St. Paul, Minnesota, was relocated 1981-85 to Old South Church, saving it from destruction. The decision to acquire it was made very briefly before the auditorium was to be razed. This CD by Minister of Music Harry Lyn Huff of organ works by Carson Cooman is the first CD of the organ in solo organ repertoire. Track listing/sound clips.
