About the Author: The Rev. Dr. Carl F. Schultz, Jr. joined Old South Church in 2002 as Interim Senior Minister after recently retiring from 34 years as Sr Minister of the First Church of Christ in Glastonbury, CT. Although his stay was all too short (2 1/2 years), his impact on the Old South community will be long-lasting. Rev. Schultz has served as guest Chaplain in the US Senate, initiated interfaith ministry with Roman Catholic and Lutheran churches, overseen relationships and outreach initiatives with inner city churches and previously published "Faith Faces Forward". Carl and his wife Della have three grown children and 10 grandchildren.
