What is it?
Christian worship, with a jazz twist. There are prayers, music, reflection, and Communion, but the overall experience is like a jazz musician reworking a familiar tune. If you’ve been to a Christian church many times, it will likely feel both familiar and fresh. If you’ve never been to church, this relaxed approach is easy to follow.

Who is welcome?
Absolutely everybody. Always.

What will happen?
You’ll enter the beautiful Gordon Chapel to sounds of the Willie Sordillo Trio. You will be invited to sing, greeted with words of welcome and encouraged to embrace the service in the ways that work best for you in that moment. There will be moments for contemplation, singing, or just tapping your feet and listening. There are often interactive activities involving simple rituals during worship. Communion is served every week and is open to everyone, whether baptized or not, from those who simply want a meal to the most dedicated Christians. We conclude with blessings in music and words.

Is there a cost?
There’s no fee. A voluntary offering is taken during the service.

How should I dress?
Some come in professional clothes; some come in very casual clothes. It’s Thursday evening, come however you’re dressed already! You are always welcome.

Who will lead it?
Saxophonist Willie Sordillo and various guest musicians team with Rev. Quinn Caldwell, other staff and with congregation.

When will it happen?
From 6:00 pm to about 7:00. There will also be time to have refreshments and meet new friends following the service.

How do I get there?
We’re practically on top of the Copley Square T-Stop, at 645 Boylston Street, directly across the street from the Boston Public Library.
