Music at Old South:

Hymn Festival & Hymn Vote Results

Sunday, September 14th during 11 am worship

On the first two Sundays of June this past summer the congregation was invited to vote for its favorite hymns. The response was overwhelming with almost 150 votes in just those two services! One thing is for sure--the Old South congregation loves its hymns. As an acknowledgment of this, we will celebrate by singing many of them at the 11 am service on
Sunday, September 14.

Understandably many hymns received more than one vote.
The results are in:

1st place: Amazing Grace was the all-time winner (9 votes)

2nd place: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God (6 votes)

3rd place (tie): Be Thou My Vision—Here I Am, Lord—In the Garden—Joyful, Joyful,
