WE SHALL
GO UP WITH JOY: JERUSALEM PILGRIMAGE
March 24-April 4, 2008
Our ministers, Nancy Taylor and Quinn Caldwell will embark upon a ten
day pilgrimage to Jerusalem, departing March 24 and returning April 4.
Traveling with clergy colleagues, the group is led by the Rev. Dr. J.
Mary Luti (First Church in Cambridge) and the Dr. Anne Minton (Christ
Church in Cambridge), with
special lectures from Dr. Henry R. Carse, Director of Special Programs,
St. George’s College, Jerusalem (where they will be housed). The group
will experience and explore, as pilgrims, the biblical land and the
roots of our faith.
They will visit sites holy to the three Abrahamic faiths and explore
Jerusalem as a mosaic of interfaith diversity. In addition, they will
meet and hear from Israelis and Palestinians in their political,
religious and cultural realities while
visiting in and around Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem and the Galilee.
Nancy and Quinn invite our prayers as they travel. While they are
away, pastoral care will be under the leadership of Ministerial Intern,
