Past News Release: Update on Damage - Good News
Hello, dear friends ,
I would like to apprise you of a few things regarding the 11
am worship service this coming Sunday, March 8th at Old South.
First and foremost, this is the Sunday of the time change!! (Spring
forward - set your clocks up an hour).
We will be welcoming the Tabor Academy Madrigal Singers from Marion,
MA to our worship. They are a select a cappella ensemble from
Tabor Academy, a college preparatory secondary boarding school, known
as the 'School by the Sea.' They will be performing choral motets by
Pitoni, Byrd, Saint-Saens and Moses Hogan for the prelude, beginning at
10:45 a.m.
Plan to stay on in the Sanctuary for the brief Lenten Series lecture on
the Gospel of Matthew, immediately following worship. Everyone is
welcome to continue this study in small groups on the 4th floor. For
those staying for the small group discussions, special arrangements
for extended parking validations have been made at the Prudential
Center garage.
And finally, mark your calendars for an exciting choral event at Old
South on Friday, March 13th at 7 p.m., at which time the Morehouse
College Glee Club will present a thrilling concert. This premier
all-male African-American ensemble from Morehouse College in Atlanta
has been acclaimed by audiences throughout the world since its
establishment in 1911. Tickets are $30. To purchase tickets, visit
