Catherine Allard

Catherine comes to the Youth Group Leader position at Old South Church with three years of experience leading Youth Ministry at First Congregational Church in Manchester, NH. She has worked with youth in many contexts including summer camps, leadership development programs, social change initiatives, college campuses, support groups and peer theater programs.

In September 2010, Catherine will be a full-time student in the Masters of Divinity program at Andover-Newton Theological School. Always having found a great sense of purpose and identity in her full-time professional work, she is embracing the opportunity to find purpose and identity in just being herself, independent of job titles.

Catherine loves good, clean fun and deep, introspective discussions. She feels most centered when in touch with the vast wonder and beauty of the universe—in particular when she's on the ocean shore or a mountain top; and when admiring the sunset colors, varied clouds and/or bountiful stars of the sky.

Catherine grew up in New Hampshire and though most of her family lives in the Dover, NH area, her younger brother, his wife and their precious baby Anna live in Quincy, MA. Catherine is excited about moving closer to her niece, and about becoming a part of the vibrant community of Old South Church!
