Ron Buford

As Interim Minister for Discipleship, Ron leads Thursday Jazz Worship and works with the Vision Working Group, Vision Task Forces and Communications Committee. He will be with Old South Church until the congregation calls a full-time third minister in a year to 15 months.

Prior to Old South, Ron served as the Summer Sabbatical Interim Pastor at First Congregational in Eureka, CA. From 2008-2011 he served as part-time Director of Development for the Northern California Nevada Conference of the UCC, and, from 2008-2010, as part-time consultant to the United Reformed Church in London. He consults with UCC conferences and churches across the nation, and writes for the UCC Daily Devotionals and the London-based REFORM Magazine. Ron was lead architect of the Still Speaking Campaign and is a participant in the DVD-based Progressive theology series called Living the Questions 2.0 along with Marcus Borg, Dominic Crossan, Sister Helen Prejean, John Cobb, and others.
