Jesus’ vision for the church is one in which all are invited and made to feel welcome. To that end, Old South is engaged in ongoing efforts to make our building and community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Old South Church is fully wheelchair accessible at our front entrance, with interior elevators, space for wheelchairs in the Sanctuary and Chapel, and handicap accessible restrooms. Handicap parking spaces are available on Boylston Street (between Dartmouth and Exeter Streets) across from the church. The Copley T Station, beside our church, is fully wheelchair accessible.
Old South has two meter-free “Drop-off/Pick-Up” spaces on Boylston Street in front of the church. These spots are offered for the safety and convenience of families with very young children, seniors, and persons with disabilities, and for weddings and funerals.
We are pleased to offer American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation twice per month at our Festival Worship on Sundays at 11:00 AM. Check out the upcoming worship schedule for specific dates.
Hearing assistance devices are available for the Sanctuary and the Gordon Chapel. For Festival Worship on Sundays at 11:00 AM, please pick one up at the back of the Sanctuary on your way in, or ask a Deacon for assistance. For Jazz Worship on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and First Worship on Sundays at 9:00 AM, please ask a Deacon for assistance.
