Upcoming Month's Worship Schedule

WEEKLY WORSHIP AT OLD SOUTH

Morning Prayer & Communion: Sundays at 9 am in the Gordon Chapel. In the intimacy of the Gordon Chapel we turn our attention to God in an informal service of word and sacrament. Led by Rev. Liz Myer with the assistance of Revs. Dick and Elinor Yeo with Special Music from the Early Service Pick-up Choir (rehearses at 8:30 am) led by Matt Myer Boulton.

FESTIVAL WORSHIP:
Sundays at 11 am in the sanctuary. Gathered in Old South’s grand sanctuary, our worship is inspired by the Old South Choir and organ, as well as by serious attention to preaching. Led by Revs. Nancy Taylor, Quinn Caldwell and Liz Myer, Minister of Music Harry Huff and the Old South Choir.

JAZZ WORSHIP SERVICE:
Thursdays at 6 pm in the Gordon Chapel. It’s fresh. It’s familiar. It’s informal and participatory. It is Old South’s most eclectic worship experience. Have a little jazz with your worship! Led by Rev. Quinn Caldwell, Old South seminarians and The Willie Sordillo Trio.  Jazz Worship Services: Thursdays at 6 p.m.

HEALING PRAYER SERVICE: Second Sundays (unless announced change) at 10 am in the Children's Chapel (or alternate location: 4th Floor Tower Room). Tap into God’s healing love with a gentle service of prayers and reflection led by the Rev. Ken Orth, a pastoral counselor and spiritual director.  (Next scheduled services is July 12th in the Children's Chapel.)

Congregational Prayer Requests
Click above to send an e-mail to our Associate Minister Quinn Caldwell
who will include your prayer request into the Pastoral Prayer at the upcoming worship service. Upholding one another in prayer is one of the best ways the church can care for one another. We would love to care for you or ones you love in this way by praying with you in the Pastoral Prayer on Sunday mornings. The best way to communicate your prayer requests is to e-mail Quinn (above), or Nancy at <nst@oldsouth.org>, or Quinn at <quinn@oldsouth.org>, or to be in touch with one of us by phone at 617/536-1970. We publicly pray using only first names to protect privacy but, of course, welcome your account of the fuller names and stories as you communicate your requests. Please do not use the prayer box in the back of the sanctuary if your prayer is urgent.  Note that this is a change.  We’ve decided that the prayer box is best used to collect the prayers of those who visit our sanctuary over the course of a week; while we try to collect and pray those requests every Sunday, we are not always able to include every prayer that is put into the box.
