Each year, Old South Church provides three-year financial grants of varying amounts to five Boston-based organizations whose work best serves those in need. We have interviewed representatives from each of the organizations so you can get to know them, and their work, a little better.
This week's interview features common cathedral, an outdoor congregation for the housed and un-housed population worshiping on the Boston Common. Old South has been supporting common cathedral for many years, including involvement in their programs and preparing meals, with some people belonging to both congregations.
In this interview Paul Brouillette speaks with Amanda Grant, the Executive Director of common cathedral, discussing common cathedral's work, how they are responding to the unhoused population during the pandemic, and how we, as Old South Church, can further support them during this time.
