Volunteer Coordinator Chosen for Old South's Partnership with Snowden
The 350th Anniversary Task Force is pleased to announce that Ralph Watson has been selected as the Snowden School Volunteer Coordinator for the 2019-2020 academic year. After receiving multiple resumes and interviewing four candidates, we determined that Ralph's extensive experience as a middle school principal, previous role as a volunteer coordinator, and strong connection to the Old South Church community made him the ideal choice. Ralph met with Eugene Roundtree, the Snowden School Headmaster, last week and has started generating ideas for Old South volunteer opportunities. Welcome aboard, Ralph! Ralph writes: "We are excited about the kick-off of our new partnership between Old South Church and the Snowden International School. You will be hearing more about volunteer opportunities in the coming weeks, but we have one up-coming need. We would like to help supply refreshments for the school's New Parent Meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. I am looking for either cash donations or Dunken Donuts Gift cards to supply coffee and donut holes for this gathering. If you are willing to help out and donate, please place your donation in a sealed envelope and drop it off at the front desk of the church with my name and Snowden Parent Meeting written on the front up until next Sunday, August 18th. Thanks for your help and support!"
