Festival Worship in the Sanctuary

Worship Services

Worship is no benign activity. It is intended to radicalize us, change and form us into followers of Jesus. We believe that a sanctuary filled with worshippers can and should be thrilling, profoundly engaging, even riveting — for it is given to us to handle the mysteries of life and death, time and eternity, spirit and flesh, good and evil. Will you join us? Do you dare?

Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

With soaring choir and thundering organ, Festival Worship is our grand pageant of praise and thanksgiving to God. Enlivened by thoughtful preaching, wide-ranging music and traditional hymns, Festival Worship calls us to heights of exuberant worship and to new and ever-expanding depths of Christian faith.

This week's Order of Worship

I love the grand music, inclusive welcome, beloved hymns, beautifully crafted prayers, and inspiring sermons of Festival Worship. They all point in the same direction: toward loving God above all and our neighbors as ourselves, providing motivation and guidance to do so.”

Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

It’s Thursday evening and it’s already been a long week. Relax and recenter with soulful jazz music; feel the saxophone riffs playing off the stone walls. Bathed in candlelight, our service is filled with meditative silence, communion, and reflection on the scriptures.

Jazz Worship provides a visceral worship experience for me, tapping into my spiritual side that can only be accessed with music. This service takes me as I am — tearful, joyful, unshowered (sometimes all three). Thursday nights have truly become my Sabbath, a place of community for me to rest and be renewed.”

Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

First Worship is full of joy and laughter. Not so big you’ll get lost, not so small you’ll stand out. We adore the sounds of children and they are always welcome. Communion bread is sweet and plentiful, our songs are beautiful and easy to sing. We’re fun, you would like us.

First Worship reminds us every week that there is a place at God's table for everyone, especially our children. The sermons are consistently challenging and insightful, the music uplifting, and the people always gracious and welcoming.”

Second Sundays at 10:00 a.m.

Be welcomed by God into this circle of safe community. Experience silence and listen, lighting candles to disperse the shadows. Speak your heart and be heard and honored. We are deeply beloved by God — and we are learning to love ourselves just as deeply. As we depart we carry the power of God’s healing, body and soul.

Healing Worship gives me gifts I so often deny myself: grace and forgiveness. Surrounded by fellow sinners and saints in this sacred space, we are vulnerable and safe, blessed and beloved.”
