Worship Services

Worship is no benign activity. It is intended to radicalize us, change and form us into followers of Jesus. We believe that worship - even via live stream! - can and should be thrilling, profoundly engaging, even riveting — for it is given to us to handle the mysteries of life and death, time and eternity, spirit and flesh, good and evil. Will you join us? Do you dare?

Watch a Live Streamed Service

Sundays at 10:00 a.m.

This vibrant and soul-stirring service is enlivened by powerful preaching, wide-ranging music, creative Children's Messages, and comforting prayer. Combining the best elements of our Festival Worship & First Worship services (to be resumed post-COVID19), this livestreamed service leaves you feeling close to beloved community and God.

This week's Order of Worship

"The caliber and depth of the online services is impressive, and we're delighted to find our kids actively engaged with the service - especially the weekly Children’s Message. While we look forward to resuming in-person worship when it's safe, we're thankful that Old South has such a compelling alternative as we face the pandemic together."

Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

It’s Thursday evening and it’s already been a long week. Relax and recenter with soulful jazz music by the Willie Sordillo Ensemble. A Word of the Day is woven throughout the music and speaking, providing opportunity for reflection and meditation. This 30 minute program is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and connected.

Jazz Coffeehouse is often the high point of our week. Every Thursday, we hear classic jazz, freedom songs, and blues beautifully performed in arrangements that reveal their sacred core. The blend of music, poetry, and prayer becomes our digital hymnal, relaxing, inspiring, and moving us forward – and closer to God."

Second Sundays at 12:30 p.m.

Be welcomed by God into this circle of safe community. Experience silence and listen, lighting candles to disperse the shadows. Speak your heart and be heard and honored. We are deeply beloved by God — and we are learning to love ourselves just as deeply. As we depart we carry the power of God’s healing, body and soul.
