Boston Marks 5 Years Since Marathon Bombing

Sunday, April 15th, 2018 marked the 5th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing. Old South commemorated the day with our Blessing of the Athletes services. At the time of the explosion, Old South member and Marathon bombing survivor Tom Ralston tolled our church's bells. NECN wrote, "At 2:49 p.m., the bells of Old South Church rang as Boston held a citywide moment of silence to mark the moment five years ago when the first bomb exploded. Sunday is "One Boston Day," devoted to blood drives and acts of kindness."
