GBIO

The Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO) is a broad-based, non-partisan, interfaith, multiracial power organization rooted in Greater Boston’s neighborhoods and congregations. For more than 20 years, GBIO has worked to improve housing and healthcare, reform our criminal justice system, address racial disparities in our city, and rebuild schools and neighborhoods, among other issues.​ Find out more about GBIO’s current campaigns, and how you can participate in advocacy and action, in person or at home. Climate Crisis Task Force

Recognizing the urgency of the Climate Crisis, the Old South Church Climate Crisis Task Force strives to educate, provide spiritual grounding, and mobilize individual and collective action to care for God’s creation. Want to push for legislation to protect the earth? Consider joining the Climate Crisis Justice and Advocacy Team. Looking to help people (and the church) make some real changes to reduce our carbon footprint? Maybe the Environmental Stewardship Working Group is for you. Because we believe racism is anathema to God, Old South’s (G)RACE Speaks is an evolving conversation, examination, and education on matters of race within the life and community of this church. In addition, with partner churches and organizations we are committed to exposing and overcoming racism and prejudice in all its forms – personal, relational, institutional, systemic.
